Learner Drivers

PHD welcomes all new learner drivers whether you're young or old, nervous or confident; the instructor will be patient with you at all times without holding you back.

You can start to learn with PHD whatever your current level.*

The length of your first lesson will depend on your level of experience.  For complete beginners, this will be a 1½-2 hour lesson which will normally cover the theory of the cars controls & usually a short drive.  For those with some driving experience, this will be a 1 hour lesson which normally consists of a short assessment drive, followed by a lesson based on your current level.

The lessons are then structured to prepare you to take your driving test and become a safe driver for life.The training doesn't end there!!

PHD offer Pass Plus Courses (with no further test) which will further enhance the skills needed to pass the driving test & to make the roads safer for you and for everyone else.  If that's not a good enough reason, you also benefit from BIG savings on your Insurance.

* Note: If you already have a driving test booked when you start with PHD, the instructor is under no obligation to take you for that test & may well advise that you cancel or reschedule it.
